RUC:Inception Oct 10, 2015

Rise Up Challenge in Edmonton. This was more of a team friendly race with no timing chips. Everyone carried teddy bears and had to pass theirs to the person next to them. We were told we wouldn't count as a finisher unless our teddy bear crossed the finish line. So everyone was always encouraging each other. About 18km from carrying large rocks to zombie crawls. This was the first of its kind using natural obstacles. Included lots of stair climbs, long trails, and cold river crossing for about half a kilometer. Some of us got lost on different occasions due to not enough marking, but staying with a group made it more fun. The race was completed with a nice engraved block of wood. 100% finish rate which was nice. Good job guys.
